Sun Goblin is mellifluous Americana, with dashes of Metal. The band formed in Asheville, NC in early 2022. Songwriter Aurora Wynne brought a collection of already written songs to the table, and the band has been constantly reshaping and writing new tunes since their inception. Their songs ring with depth, memorable riffs & catchy rhythms under thought provoking lyrics and powerful crystalline vocals. Natural themes are woven into the lyrics reflecting Aurora’s work as a conservation biologist. Her stylings, combined with the sibling synchronicity and creativity of the Murtha Brothers, Kevin and Danny on drums and bass, as well as the technical grace of James Eddington on lead guitar have created a sound that is unique and unmistakably, Sun Goblin. 

The band is currently in the production of their first EP, titled “Emergence : First Mud” with sound engineer Patrick Doyle (of Natural Born Leaders as well as Jennifer Lopez) at Artcore Studios in Asheville, NC. Mastering by Phillip Shaw Bova (of Father John Misty and Lake Street Dive).
